Your Garden Project: Step by Step

From the first conversation to the day work begins, we help turn your ideas into a clear, carefully organised garden project. Here is what to expect along the way.

Every garden is different. We will discuss the right approach for your space and agree the scope, costs and timing with you before work starts.

01   Start a conversation

Tell us about your garden, what you would like to change and the investment you have in mind. Our planning page lets you request a callback, explore an indicative garden budget or check the fee for a quotation or design visit.

02   Understand your garden

Where a visit is appropriate, we will confirm the appointment type and fee before booking. A member of our team will discuss your requirements, take relevant measurements and photographs, and offer honest advice about the practical possibilities.

03   Develop a design, if needed

Some projects need a dedicated design before a construction proposal can be prepared. We can bring the layout, hard landscaping and planting together in a considered plan. We will explain the design scope and cost so you can decide how to proceed.

04   Review your proposal

Your proposal sets out the agreed scope in plain English, with itemised materials and a fixed labour cost for that scope. We send it digitally for you to review. Ask us about anything that needs clarification, and read the terms and any applicable warranty information before accepting digitally.

05   Agree the schedule

Once the proposal is accepted, we can allocate the people and resources your project needs. We will confirm the planned dates and keep you informed if the schedule changes. Our employed landscaping teams are supported by the office and led on site by a team leader.

06   Confirm invoices and payments

Your invoice and agreed payment terms explain the stages and due dates for your project. Any deposits needed for bespoke materials or items with longer lead times will be explained. Please ask our office team if you need help understanding a payment or invoice.

07   Get ready for work to begin

We coordinate materials, deliveries, waste arrangements and any specialist trades needed for the agreed work. Your office contact and on-site team leader help keep you informed. Requested changes are recorded transparently, with their effect on scope and cost agreed as the project develops.
