We’re F.B & Sons: a family-run team of 14 serving Birmingham and the West Midlands. We bring garden design, skilled construction and ongoing care together, from a welcoming terrace to a complete transformation.
Our employed landscaping teams are supported by an office team and clear project leadership. Thoughtful planting, careful craftsmanship and straightforward communication run through everything we do.

Clear proposals
Your proposal sets out a written scope of work, itemised materials and a fixed labour cost for the agreed scope. You can see what is included before work begins.
People you can reach
Lisa is your office point of contact, while your on-site team leader coordinates the landscaping team. Our management structure keeps decisions and responsibilities clear.
The whole project managed
We organise materials, ordering, deliveries, waste and specialist trades such as electricians and arborists. Our employed team carries out the landscaping.
Changes made clear
If your plans change, our digital change-management process records the change transparently, so its effect on the scope and cost can be agreed.
St Godwald’s Retreat
Designed by Marc Harbourne-Bessant and built by F.B & Sons for Primrose Hospice, St Godwald’s Retreat received an RHS Bronze Medal at the Malvern Spring Festival in 2025.
Our work continued beyond the show. We moved and rebuilt the garden at the hospice that summer, creating a permanent setting for reflection and remembrance. It officially opened on 12 October 2025.
