St Godwald’s Retreat
From RHS show garden to a lasting place of reflection.
Designed by Marc Harbourne-Bessant and built by F.B & Sons for Primrose Hospice, St Godwald’s Retreat received an RHS Bronze Medal at the Malvern Spring Festival in 2025.
Created with care
The garden offers a peaceful setting for remembrance and connection. Its planting, paths and Reflection Lodge bring together places to pause, sit and spend time with others.
A garden with a future
Our work continued beyond the show. We dismantled, moved and rebuilt the garden at Primrose Hospice in summer 2025, giving the design a permanent home for the hospice community. The garden officially opened on 12 October 2025, with around 300 guests attending.
